Although, I live in the US I believe what you are saying applies in the US, children are the most valuable resource we have. By not supporting them we limit the future. I don't know if this is true in the UK, but I was told in my last semester in college (I have a BS in Education) that states with a smaller education budget, usually have a larger budget for their prison systems. Perhaps a larger budget for education would result in less incarcerated individuals. What a novel thought!

I have spent all year caught up in the fight to not only advocate for services to support and accommodate my daughter, but also to defend myself as her parent against being blamed by these very services.
